Filip Babic advises corporations, individuals, trusts, estates, investors, and partners on tax controversies and litigation matters before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), and state and local taxing agencies. Filip handles both civil and criminal tax matters, and he also represents clients before the California Franchise Tax Board, the State Board of Equalization, and the Employment Development Department.
Mr. Babic graduated from U.C. Hastings College of the Law in 2014 with a concentration in taxation, receiving the Cali and Witkin Awards for excellence in Federal Income Tax. While in law school, Mr. Babic interned at the California Attorney General’s Office, the Santa Clara County Counsel’s Office, and a global non-profit technology company where he worked on non-profit tax, and international tax law issues. Mr. Babic served as the Acquisitions Editor for the Hastings Communication and Entertainment Law Journal, which published his paper discussing the legality of on-line tracking practices by internet search engines.
Mr. Babic is currently pursuing an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
