Athena is a Legal Case Assistant at the Law Offices of Steven L. Walker, PLC. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, Athena volunteered with Bay Area Legal Aid, where she gained early exposure to the legal field. She is currently preparing to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and plans to pursue a career in law.

Through her work at the firm and volunteer efforts, Athena has come to value collaboration, advocacy, and compassion—principles she strives to uphold throughout her career.

In her free time, Athena enjoys traveling, painting, spending time with her family, and being in nature.

Barbara Farnum is attorney with over 26 years of experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related litigation. She graduated from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1990, and is also certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in estate planning, trust & probate law. Additionally, she is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the Silicon Valley Bar Association, and the Trusts and Estates section of the State Bar of California. Barbara’s practice focuses on:

  • Trusts and decedent’s estate administration
  • Probate and related litigation

For certain matters, the Firm also teams up with well-respected counsel, who are not members of the Firm, in light of their particular expertise. The Firm decides whether to use Affiliated Counsel on a matter-by-matter basis, depending on the needs of the matter. Although Affiliated Counsel have their own separate law practices, independent from the Firm, they are available to Bergeson, LLP on an as-needed basis.
